Beamax 12V Trigger Box for Projectors-more info

This brand new Beamax  12V trigger box is an interface that is used for electrical projection screens.
The projection screen is lowered or raised automatically when the projector is switched on or off.
This adds a definite WOW to your home theatre.

The 12V trigger can only be used for projectors or amplifiers with a 12V output.

Can even be used for Sony and Panasonic projectors.

The projection screen trigger is used to automatically lower the projection screen when the projector is started. It raises the projection screen once the projector is shut off.

The advantages are:

  • Reduces the need for an additional remote control for the projection screen
  • As the signal is transmitted through a wire, there is no risk of interference of other signals.
  • The Beamax 12V trigger can be used with any other brand projection screen that uses a 4-wire tubular motor that is connected to mains (no 12V or 24V motors!)

Things to keep in mind:

  • The 12V trigger replaces the switch provided with the projection screen, so this can no longer be used.
  • A 12V trigger cannot be used together with other projection screen remotes
  • By using a 12V projection screen trigger, you can no control the screen independently. This means you always have to turn on the projector to lower the screen and switch it off to raise the screen. This means it is not recommended to use the trigger for projection screens that cover a door once lowered. This would create a risk of damaging the projector screen if the door would accidentally be opened. Never use a trigger when the screen covers the only exit from the room (safety hazard).
